Bridgette is one of the marvelous group of McIntosh's we have
as members of Com Com. Sisters Judy, Sue, and Donna are all regulars and
now the clan has grown to include Bridge. If you ever had doubts that
this is a family forum, this should end them.
She is daughter-in-law to Judy, wife to Eric, mother to Devin,
mother-to-be to Darrin (expected to arrive in May),
owner to Bobo
(the St.Bernard) Thunder and Storm (the cats-can you own a cat?) and
friend to all of us here in Com Com.
Even with the discomfort of pregnancy Bridge can be depended on
to host conferences and keep the discussions lively. (Probably
keeps her mind so occupied she doesn't have time to think about
how tired she is.)
Then came the Ice Storm of 97; snowed in and without power for over a week,
the whole McIntosh clan was unable to get on line. From what we can tell
they went through a period of "modem withdrawal" that was almost incapacitating.
Sue managed to get a message to us here
and let us know they were well, if not exactly happy.
Bridge
was the first one back - she had to use a portable generator to do it - but she got
here. This is either total dedication or an addiction. I suspect the latter is
closer to the truth...
we have some strong friendships formed in this little corner of Delphi;
a compulsion to make friends isn't something that needs a cure;
some addictions can be *good* things.
Bridgette holds the all time record for the number of people in a conference
room here in Com Com. She hosted a room of 28 people, adults and teens,
all chatting away at one time one Sunday morning not too long ago.
I imagine it was difficult to keep track of all the different conversations
that were going on all at the same time, but Bridge took it in stride.
She's always ready to try to break her own record, too...so come visit
when she's holding a chat and help.
Bridgette usually holds conferences on Saturday and Sunday afternoons,
after the Weekend Morning Coffee Chat. Come on and help set a new record.
